Belize offers exemplary Mayan Ruins, these ancient Mayan Temples were once Cities, Towns, Religious Temples and major trade posts for the ancient Mayan civilization.  Once hidden in thick jungle the Mayan Temples of Belize have since been restored to their original splendor, one cannot help but feel the ever-present Mayan Spirit when visiting these spectacular sites.

Altun Ha is a clear example of the Mayan architectural accomplishments well over 2000 years ago.  Altun Ha is one of the most famous Mayan Centers, founded around 600bc, perhaps a few centuries earlier, the Mayan Center was undoubtedly one of the smallest but extremely important Trading Post for the Mayan Civilization at the time.  Altun Ha is located close to the Belize City Port, a short 1hr drive from the Cruise Ship Terminal.  The Temples and manicured grounds at Altun Ha make a visit to this magnificent ancient City a fantastic family oriented activity.  You will not find steep hills or sudden drop-offs, instead you will walk over smooth, well kept grass, you will be able to simply admire all the structures or walk to the top of some of the most majestic Mayan Temples to be found in Central America.

The Altun Ha explorations is followed by a wonderful Belizean lunch.  Belize is well known for it's tropical cuisine, the Belizean Backed Chicken and Rice & Pease are not to be missed!

Belize City will also be visited at the end of your tour showcasing the famous Swing Bridge, St. John's Cathedral, The Bliss Institute, the Supreme Court Building and more!

Our Licensed Guides will meet you right at the Belize City Port, inside the Cruise Ship Arrival Area, a few steps from your tender.  All of our guides are licensed by the Belize Department of Tourism and will personally drive you to the Mayan Temple of Altun Ha and will personally walk with you throughout this magical Ancient Mayan City.

• Dedicated Pick Up from Inside the Port a few steps from your tender, no need to venture outside the Port to find your Guide!
• All excursions are organized to depart according to each individual Cruise Ship Arrival and Departure Time in Belize.  All excursion departures differ from day to day depending on the Ship in Port in order to assure an adequate meeting time at the Port as well as a safe return back to the Port before your Ship's departure.
• Our Guides will personally greet you at the Belize City Cruise Ship Terminal and drive you to Altun Ha where they will personally explore the Mayan City with you.
• Small groups of up to 14 people ONLY, make sure to reserve early!
• If you have a group of 10 passengers or more, please let us know, we can make special arrangements for your group as a PRIVATE Group Excursion for no additional cost.
